Who I Am
I'm a mechanical engineer and CAD designer with a passion for transforming complex mechanical ideas into manufacturing-ready designs. With over eight years of experience in aerospace, automotive, and industrial manufacturing, I've developed deep expertise in Siemens NX modeling, FEA analysis, and design for manufacturability.
My approach combines technical precision with creative problem-solving. I believe that great engineering design is where functionality meets manufacturability, and every line in a drawing tells a story about intent, constraint, and innovation.
Why I Love CAD
Precision & Clarity
Every dimension, every constraint, every design decision is intentional. There's beauty in the precision of a well-crafted CAD model that communicates design intent perfectly.
Creativity Within Constraints
The real challenge isn't drawing what's asked for—it's optimizing, improving, and finding elegant solutions within the constraints of physics, manufacturing, and cost.
Real-World Impact
I get to see designs move from CAD to manufacturing to real-world products. Knowing that precision in the model translates to quality in production is deeply satisfying.
My Journey
2016
Started in Mechanical Engineering
Fresh from university, I began my career in product design at a small industrial design firm, where I learned the fundamentals of CAD modeling and manufacturing constraints.
2018
Aerospace Industry Deep Dive
Joined an aerospace engineering firm and specialized in high-precision CAD modeling. Earned AS9100 certification and developed expertise in aerospace design standards.
2020
Lead Designer Role
Advanced Manufacturing Co. brought me on as Senior Mechanical Designer, leading teams and managing complex multi-disciplinary projects from concept through production.
2024
Independent Consultant
Started independent practice to work directly with clients on specialized mechanical design projects, combining deep technical expertise with personalized attention.
